Supporting Children and Young People in Skipton and Craven
Our vision is simple: Build a community where every child and young person is celebrated and knows they belong. To do this, we support children and families who are experiencing vulnerabilities to build resilience, thrive and achieve.
170 children come through our doors every week

Who We Support
Children aged 4 to 19 who either live or attend school in North Yorkshire, or are registered to a GP Practice in Craven.
Young people with SEND up to the age of 25 who either live or attend school in North Yorkshire, or are registered to a GP Practice in Craven.
Refer a child
FOR PARENTS & GUARDIANS
You can refer your child by completing the referral form in full. Please provide as much information as you can, as this helps us determine the level of support your child needs. We may ask you for more information, so we can make sure your child gets the right support.
FOR PROFESSIONALS
A child can also be referred to SELFA by a professional working with them or their family. This can be a teacher, a social worker, a support worker, a health visitor, or an agency such as Carers’ Resource or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
REFER YOURSELF
If you’re a young person, you can self-refer too. We ask that you provide the details of a professional who may be supporting you so they can share additional details.
