Community Fridge

The SELFA Community Fridge aims to fight food waste and support local people by sharing surplus food that would otherwise be thrown away.

The fridge takes donations of unwanted food and makes this available to all, meeting the needs of households who are living with food insecurity, whilst tackling the environmental costs of food waste. We have a caring and sharing approach and the experience of visiting the fridge is positive, warm, and welcoming. We aim to create a safe space for people to not only collect food parcels but be guided towards other sources of help.
