SELFA Starters

SELFA Starters is a child-led play group in which the children’s interests and needs will shape each session. This could include junk modelling, role play, circle games, construction activities and more. We provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to develop key social and independence skills through the use of free play.

SELFA Starters is a safe and caring space where children can: • Learn and practise key social skills through friendship games • Build confidence to speak up during circle time • Take part in mini projects such as learning about our local environment, making thank-you cards, or finding ways to help others in the community The group will be child-led, with activities designed and delivered together. Social action will be a theme throughout, helping children to learn how they can make a difference in their own way.
