Trips and workshops

A range of trips and activities for disabled children and their families.

SELFA offer a programme of trips and workshops for disabled children to attend with their families. Siblings are welcome, but must have a referral form completed. These activities are intended for children and young people who are unable to access our other provision.

We try to include a variety of activities to suit different interests and abilities, but hope there is something for everyone. We always welcome suggestions for future programmes. Recent trips have activities have included trips to Blackpool Zoo, Harewood House, Stockeld Park and Yorkshire Wildlife Park; pottery painting, pizza-making and Neverland parties; craft days and canal boat trips.

Accessing family trips and workshops

Details of planned activities are emailed to the parents/carers of referred children, and will also be shown on the website. Places are allocated after the closing date. All activities are free, though donations are welcome.
