SELFA Receives £5000 from Morrisons Foundation
The Morrisons Foundation has donated £5,000 to SELFA; a charity supporting children and young people in Skipton and Craven. The donation will fund the charity’s after-school club which provides a safe, warm and friendly place to visit and socialise once the school day is over.
The donation was presented to SELFA at the Morrisons store in Skipton by Community Champion Liam Shaw, who said: “I am delighted to be presenting this grant to a charity which makes such a positive difference in our local community.”
Emma Pears, Chief Officer at SELFA said: “We are really grateful to the Morrisons Foundation for their support of SELFA. Their donation will help us to run a wide range of after-school clubs for vulnerable, disadvantaged children in the Craven area. The clubs provide a great nurturing environment, enabling children to be the very best that they can be.”
The Morrisons Foundation was set up by Morrisons supermarkets in 2015 and awards grants for charity projects which help improve people’s lives. Since launching over £24 million has been donated to hundreds of charities across England, Scotland and Wales.
